Siena Barnes X Agent Provocateur

Siena Barnes X Agent Provocateur

I’ve been keeping something under lock and key…

When Agent Provocateur burst onto Broadwick Street in the 1990s, Soho felt like home.

It was darker, dirtier and more dangerous than it is today. Here was paradise created by the transient, the downtrodden and the utterly fabulous. It was heaven.

I interviewed for a job at Agent Provocateur Soho in the noughties. It didn’t work out. Decades later, I’m delighted to have collaborated with the enfant terrible of British fashion.

It was a dream to work with creative director Sarah Shotton (and her fabulous team) who have shaped this brand of naughty for decades. I’m thrilled to say that our first creation is out now.

The artwork centres around notions of the femme fatale (accessorised with vintage Agent Provocateur jewellery). Desire and danger have always been central to my visual language, and this pussycat pounced off the page.

The drawing channels diverse influences, from Roxy Music’s For Your Pleasure album cover, which featured Amanda Lear taking a panther for a stroll, to a Y2K Agent Provocateur jewellery set from my own archive.
